Kitaptaki kısa alıntıları 12 Eylül sonrasında cezaevinden yazılmış mektuplardan çıkardım. Fakat olay gelecekte de geçiyor olabilir. Uydu makinasından Yenikapı miting alanına bakarken çok doğal olan bir takım yaşam parçalarını düşünerek davaya ilişkin notlar alıyorum: Rulo çimen, 518.000m², kaplama, beton karo, yasal miting alanı... Manzaralı Ev Cerrahpaşa sırtlarından Yenikapı sahiline bakıyor. Mektuplar bu eve gelmiş. Kimin işlediğini bilmediğimiz mendil de bu evden çıktı. Meydan gibi ev de kaplanmış. Eskisinin gerçekten neye benzediğini unutturabilecek kadar, eskisine benzetmeye çalışmışlar.

I’ve borrowed the texts in the book from prison letters written after the military coup in ‘80. However the incident might be taking place in the future. I’m looking at the Yenikapı Area from the satellite, taking notes about the case, thinking of the very natural pieces of life: landfill, carpetgrass, 518.000m², coating, concrete tile, legal demonstration area…The house with a view looks at the Yenikapı coast from the hills of Cerrahpaşa. The letters came to this house. The handkerchief is also found there. Just like the legal demonstration area, the house is also coated. They made it so similar to what it used to be; so similar that one can forget how it really used to be.
